ART WORKS
Eye am the Chairman, 2004

This is a sculpture made from an old armchair. It is graffitied with the Anarchy symbol standing for rebellion and protest. Protruding from the hair and stuffing of it's seat is a brass wire coil with a glass eye attached to its end. Whilst jokey in style its defiance makes one think of an angry old person fighting for the dregs of their power.

The work was made for Man Rubble, with Sarah Lucas, Shaun Doyle and Mally Mallinson - an exhibition put together to show their own works, Hackney Wick, 2004.
