ART WORKS
I Spy, 1994

This sculpture is a pair of plywood vitrines that have glass tops. Inside each is a coil of brass wire with a glass eye attached. The pair are positioned to look at one another.

The work was first shown as part of a solo show at Emi Fontana gallery, Milan, Italy in 1994. A second similar work (with MDF vitrine bases), was made and shown also in 1994 as part of Some Went Mad Some Ran Away, curated by Damien Hirst at the Serpentine gallery, London, then toured.

There are also two works with a single brass wire coil and glass eye.
