Levitational Being (Tracey), 2011

Levitational Being (Tracey), is a sculptural portrait of Abigail's friend Tracey Emin. The seat of a stool has Tracey's footprints, cast as rubber stamp impressions, attached where one might sit. There is a punning reference to Tracey's book Exploration of the Soul. A ball of her hair lifts one leg of the stool. Its levitation is both ungainly and magical.

The work was shown at Paul Stolper and Friends gallery in Oslo, together with other works from SNAP The Portfolio, 2011. (see Animal Magic section, No Miracle in Sight)
