ART WORKS
The Residents, 1999

This sculpture is a plinth made of MDF with glass eyes at the end of brass wire stalks protruding from its surface. It has a glass case covering them.

The Residents makes reference to the controversially anonymous American art collective/music makers from the 1970's, notorious for the eyeball heads they often wore with tuxedos and canes in their performances.

The work was a commission made for Vicky and Raffy Hovanessian in Chicago.
