ART WORKS
Tabatha, 2016

Tabatha is a work comprising 2 objects. They are mummified toy cats ( bought second hand on e-bay – no longer wanted by their original owners). The work was commissioned for a cat museum in Brussels and the resulting 2 objects were the end of a story that unfolded.

There is a book, which reveals this story, but the objects are not dependant on this. The work is about transformation and sacrifice as a part of the process of making art as well as in our lives.

Please see Sacrifice page at baby forest website for more context about this together with the Sausage Pelts: https://babyforest.co/pages/1957
